The countdown is on!

So heaps of things are currently underway...preparations for SWY, family stuff, finishing up the guest book for the dolphin project, and pretty much keeping myself sane for the festive season!

Haven't met up with my girlfriends...kinda missed out on something else and well I'm way behind my exercise schedule so I'm trying to dance around the house as much as possible! LOL

Had our meke practice today, pretty AWESOME! And then was later whisked away for Christmas/New Year grocery shopping- pushing the heavy trolley was a good work out! So that's about it on my updates so far...

2 weekends ago I got to check out Takalana Bay Retreat (carrying out some research for our TS project) and woah it was magificent - the food, accommodation, bonfire, waterfall (minus the tiring hike), people and not forgetting the wonderful dolphins at Moon Reef. It was magical!

Refresher...

Thought I'd share these pics, they were taken in January while chilling at Wailoaloa Beach, Nadi with a few friends. The sunset was amazing!

Read these!

I can't imagine my life without reading a book or two when I'm free. So far, in my room lies a few treasures...(a few gone forever due to that 'no return policy' with a few careless peeps) books I sometimes reread again just to relive the excitement and well normally for the laughter.

So I'll be quick about this, if your an awesome human who reads (just like me ;) check these two!

Douglas Adams' (the same cool author who gave us "The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy") - The Long Dark Tea-Time of The Soul. I reckon if they make a movie out of this, it would be epic. I'm not kidding!

Then we have our homie Jane Austen popping by in Lauren Henderson's "Jane Austen's Guide to Romance - The Regency Rules" which uses Jane's work as examples of how things should/should not be. Simply put, we're being taught old school romancing that works. It's pretty much honest, common sense on the ways of jerks, superficial robots and the many names we tend to conjure up...and the nice guys & girls too :)

A trip down memory lane...

I took this vid back in 2007, one of our many cute kittens. I miss them! Yes it was on my mom's bed. That's me talking to the little cutey pie! Haha

A brand new day: concepts and cravings

[Made friends on the island that night(night 1)! ]

[Fish feeding...eee there was sooo much fish!]

[ Me & my flips...on the catamaran off to beachcomber]

[cute blue starfish with a shell ontop]
So after a weekend at Beachcomber Island in the Mamanucas (Fiji) for my TS field trip...I thought up a few good ideas. From this day onwards, my flip flop journey will travel with you and others and allow people from the globe to email a pic of their flip flop journey or travels around the globe and a little bit about themselves :) I feel like I want to share mine and thought others out there wouldn't mind doing the same.

If you're up for THE CHALLENGE...simply email me a pic or two including your flipflops (hence why it's called 'my flip flop journey'!) and a few things about yourself, travels and details of your pic(s).
Click onto the 'about me' tab or simply email me @ : chantelle_l[at]yahoo[dot]com

ps- I'm currently craving some good fish and chips...*sigh what an extremely hot day!

A new year...2010

So folks, guess I haven't been on in ages! Ahh well there was heaps of work mixed with sleeping and eating and the occasional Saturday night parties. I can say I have grown and learnt alot but I'm not going to go on and on about it. Hehe well let's say my Christmas was pretty laid back and simple. Loved it. And my new year's eve? Amazing! Oh and that hangover?...Not really amazing.
Hmm so I have stumbled on the fat chubby bug once again due to the prolong days of sleeping in & eating full meals. Ahaha. Oh well I shall be back on my feet with the usual gym and walking (and dancing around the house when no one's around:)

So I shall update you, visually. Enjoy!

ps: I'm totally missing my dog Ferg. My family had to give her away...so a pic..of my gorgeous Ferg.
